Park Closes at Dark
South on 135 until you turn onto Overlook Drive
The Overlook Park was established in the early 1970’s as a roadside rest and picnic area for travelers going north and south. Traffic between Kentucky and Indiana increased significantly with the completion of the nearby bridge across the Ohio River. This bridge replaced the old Morvin’s Landing Ferry, about 2 miles SE of the roadside park.
With the demise in roadside picnicking and the parks location slightly off SR 135, the State Highway Department transferred this property to the County Parks in the summer of 2018. There are no current plans for development but you are welcome to rest, play and relax at this quiet upland park.
